Work Details

  • To formulate and implement necessary policy and business plan for the development and expansion of agricultural crops / commodities.
  •  To conduct special programs for the upliftment of the marginalized farming community at the state level.
  •  To conduct special programs for the upliftment of the marginalized farming community at the state level.
  •  To collect and update the data related to agriculture at the state level.
  •  To formulate and implement state level market and other agricultural infrastructure development policies.
  •  To arrange state level agricultural produce market place.
  •  To develop wholesale, retail and market markets, collection centers and other market infrastructure in suitable strategic places at the state level.
  •  To provide various services and facilities to the agri entrepreneurs working at the state level.
  •  To support the state government by regularly monitoring the supply situation of state level fertilizers, seeds and other agricultural inputs.
  •  To formulate and implement state level soil improvement policy.
  •  To prepare necessary soil fertility map at the state level and to take necessary action for fertility improvement on the basis of it.
  •  Increase access to soil testing services and provide SOIL HEALTH CARD.
  •  To make arrangements for production and transmission of quality resource seeds at the state level.
  •  To control the quality of agricultural inputs including fertilizers and seeds at the state level.
  •  To conduct programs for germplasm conservation, promotion and ethnic registration of endangered and neglected crops.
  •  To conduct special programs to increase the consumption habits of such crops by conducting promotional programs for ancillary crops, local, endangered and neglected crops at the state level.
  •  To play an effective role in ensuring the rights of breeders and farmers in plant species at the state level.
  •  To support the state government by monitoring and analyzing the food security situation.
  •  To identify and develop important crops / commodities from the point of view of food security.
  •  To formulate and implement appropriate policy on crop protection and commercial pests at the state level.
  •  Necessary arrangements will be made for beekeeping, silk farming and mushroom production program on the basis of special location.
  •  To formulate and implement necessary policies, plans and standards for postharvest management at the state level.
  •  To promote agricultural mechanization at the state level.
